CBS Launches Monthly Update
The Canadian Bioethics Society (CBS) is pleased to launch the first edition of CBS Update. Sent
by email to all members, CBS Update provides an up-to-date, brief
overview of the latest activities, news and events of likely interest to

Canadian Bioethics Blog
In conjunction with the launch of its website, the CBS has launched a pilot initiative: the Canadian Bioethics Blog to
encourage debate and dialogue on timely and important issues in
bioethics in Canada. Visit and contribute to the discussion via the
comments section.
CBS President's Update
Visit the new CBS President's Update for recent reports on Society and relevant activities. The President's update, along with CBS Update regularly
emailed to members and other on-going postings to the website, will
replace the previous CBS newsletter and provide more timely and regular
information on bioethics activities to the membership.
Each
year, the CBS honours select individuals who have made significant
contributions to health ethics in Canada. For more information about how

Annual Conference 2013
The CBS is pleased to announce that the annual conference for the Society for 2013 will be held in Alberta! More details will be announced in the coming weeks and months!
Canadian Health Ethics Week
The CBS is working to implement the first ever Canadian Health Ethics Week, to be held in February 2013. See details for more information or to get involved.
Nominations are invited for five Board positions as well as two adhoc positions on the CBS Board Committee.

interested in contributing to the exciting development of the field of

Request for Proposals for Conference Planner
The CBS has issued an RFP for a conference planner to coordinate the annual conference and provide support to the local organizing team and CBS Board. The deadline for submissions is April 19, 2012. Please distribute the RFP to any conference organizers you may know who may be interested.
Bioethics Journal Launched
The Université de Montréal
has launched BioéthiqueOnline, the first bilingual bioethics journal in
Canada. BioéthiqueOnline will be an academic journal that publishes
high quality and thought provoking theoretical, conceptual and empirical
