CBS-SCB Anti-Oppression & Anti-Racism Engagement Session
23 May 2021
Dear CBS-SCB Members,
For the past 10-months, the CBS-SCB’s Anti-Oppression and Anti-Racism (AOAR) Working Group has been meeting to set initial objectives, draft an action plan, form sub-groups, and identify areas of review and improvement to align CBS-SCB policies, practices, and priorities with our stated priorities in terms of anti-racism and anti-oppression.
We are early in our mission, but we wanted to take the opportunity of this year’s conference to solicit your reflections and feedback on whether our goals/intentions are aligned. We’ve prepared a brief video presentation outlining the AOAR’s background, and opportunities for involvement. We are now engaging with CBS-SCB Members only as a next step.
We would be very grateful if you would watch the presentation and then join us for the AOAR Engagement Session on May 27th from 12:30-1:30pm ET. The engagement session will be conducted only in English, unfortunately. Full instructions and links can be found below:

We want all voices to be heard. If you are planning to attend the engagement session, please let us know if there is anything we might do to help you feel safe and welcome participating by offering your anonymous suggestions at this LINK.
