CBS Student Volunteer Opportunities
If you are a student member of the CBS and you are interested in any of the following opportunities please contact us
Graduate and Undergraduate Student Members-at-Large on the CBS board
The Board of the CBS, which develops and implements the strategic directions of the Society, holds two student positions. The responsibilities involve attending monthly phone meetings for the Board and additional administrative and subcommittee meetings. The primary aims of these positions are to provide student voices on the Board and ensure the smooth running of annual student events such as the student abstract competition and student events at the annual conference.
With this position we hope to increase francophone student involvement and representation in the CBS. The Ambassador will have the roles and responsibilities of a Student University Representative with the additional responsibility of consulting with the student board members on francophone ideas and concerns.
Student Abstract Review Committee
If you are interested in being involved as a referee for the student abstract competition, this is the job for you. Volunteering for the abstract committee is an educational experience that gives you insight into how these competitions work.
Chair of Student Conference Committee
Each year the local conference committee and CBS Student Executive looks for an interested and engaged local student to help plan the student conference programs for the upcoming CBS annual conference.
Chair of Student Abstract Committee
We are looking for a responsible student to coordinate the Student Abstract competition. Roles and responsibilities involve managing the abstract review process in consultation with CBS student board members. Bilingualism is a major asset!
Annual Conference Volunteer
Would you like to volunteer at the next CBS conference? Take advantage of this year's low student conference registration fees and help us fundraise for student programs! We need the help of hardy student volunteers to help hand out registration packages and to host rooms during concurrent sessions. Often discounted conference rates or other conference benefits will be available to these volunteers.
